2007 : California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) Travel and Research Grant -- I led an international graphic design and marketing campaign with our sister university in Thailand. Our team was involved in designing an international silk fashion magazine, packaging design, logo design, trade show graphics, and photography. In addition we also conducted qualitative research needed to make our design and marketing efforts culturally relevant.

2007 : Named CSUSB Graphic Design Diplomat. During the international design and marketing project I spent as much free time teaching conversational English to the children in rural communities as possible. I was invited to be a guest speaker to the students at our sister university to give an anecdote of my journey as a successful graphic designer from the perspective of a first-generation Asian-American.

2006: Special Olympics Southern California chapter recognition for charity logo design
